From I-10 take the Speedway exit and head West.
As you head up the mountain, park entrance will be on
your right before the hairpin curve.  Enjoy the ride, drive slowly.

Gates Pass

An adventure for all ages, amongst the best things to do in Tucson and sightseeing areas in Tucson, is Gates Pass.  At the end of Speedway Blvd., heading West past Camino de Oeste, is Gates Pass. 

This scenic drive through the Tucson desert is almost as beautiful as the panoramic view of the city of Tucson to the east and of Saguaro National Park to the west.  Things to do while your in the park include a number of activities- hiking, biking, sightseeing, and most importantly- relaxing under the starry sky.

If you are going to Old Tucson Movie Studios or the Sonoran Desert Museum, you can travel by way of Gates Pass.  Add to it to the end of your day and enjoy one of Tucson's beautiful sunsets.
