Sabino Canyon is one
of the most beautiful places to walk, hike or jog and bird watch.
It has something for all outdoor enthusiasts. Take a friend and go for a
walk up the main road or take the tram up and walk down. The road is great for jogging and running as well. Lucy trained for the Susan G Koman 60 mile breast cancer walk by going up and down the road three times in one outing!
There are some gorgeous spots
to stop and read, chat or have a picnic. All of the photos you see here on the site Tony Ray took in November of 2008.
There was still water running.
Want more of a challenge? There are several great hiking trails, Tony Ray's favorite goes to seven falls.
When you go, take more water
than you think you will need. The Tucson air is dry and you need lots of water. No kidding, take this very seriously.
There is a gift shop on site with some snacks, water and gifts, of course. They have trail maps and other park information. Just ask, the staff is very friendly.
We would suggest an annual pass.
It is $20 and good for one year at Sabino Canyon and other state parks like Mt. Lemmon. The tram cost $8 for adults.
(prices as of November 2008).
