UofA baseball and softball Things to Do

Tucson is known for being the spring training home of some Major League Baseball teams, but don’t forget that the University of Arizona has some amazing baseball and softball stars of their own!

Every year from February til May you can see the Wildcat softball and baseball teams play in the gorgeous Tucson weather.  The UofA baseball team plays at Hi Corbett Field (right next to Reid Park, and the Reid Park Zoo!), and the UofA softball team plays at Hillenbrand Stadium on the University of Arizona campus.

If you’re looking for a fun thing to do to enjoy the lovely Tucson spring, be sure to head out to one of these games!  Both ballparks offer inexpensive tickets to the games (which are even free if you are a UofA student with a Zona Zoo pass) so it is the perfect thing to do with the whole family.

The UofA softball and baseball teams are historically strong in their conferences.  The softball team has won the NCAA championship eight times, while the baseball team has won it three times!

Remember, before or after the baseball game you can visit Reid Park Zoo (and check out the new elephant enclosure), and if you’re at Hillenbrand Stadium, be sure to explore the UofA campus.  Both are great ways to walk off those ballgame snacks!

Have Fun,

Lucy & Tony Ray Cool
